Welcome to the Playgirls Mansion!

Tuesday, March 06, 2007

So the flu is nearly gone but still lurking deep in my lungs - consequently not much site-seeing going on in my life but plenty of changes happening for me - on the work and domestic fronts.

Really good news in my life however is that Mum is out of hospital and on the mend - time will tell on that front. Hard to handle being so far away, but that's the way it's eventuated.

Here in La La I moved into my new home, the playgirls mansion (bring on the pool boys I say!) and last night had my first jacuzzi at twilight! Blissful - there we were Gilli and I gazing up at the palm trees and sparkling stars of the Southern California sky...

Hit Craigslist and bought a queen size bed for $30 and a barely used mountain bike for $40, got stuff for my room at Ikea (Celeb Aussie Rachel G spotted there) and sundry office items that a writer/director requires while visiting my two new favourite hangs - Samuel French Book store, and The Writer's Store - I could lose myself for hours in these places...

Also found a pool in S.Oaks where I can do laps and will trundle off there soon on the pushie for my first swim. Plan to hit the Canyons in a big way soon too and also buy and plant some herb and vege' seedlings to plant for springtime salads...getting very settled here.

Regarding work - had an exciting time last Friday going to Seed on the 20th Century Fox lot - a treat for a gal like me...let's hope the unexpected DLF connection works in my favour. Reel's gone to RSA and scripts an reel to UTA - and have a meeting at Echo Lake next week. Caught up with Jane J who's also in town - this place is teeming with Aussies! Never get lonely that's for sure..

Anyway that's about it really. Miss the Bates mob, but am sure to see them again soon, and love the new hacienda anyway....check out the last two pics!
