And so it begins... 35 sleeps till I go to La La Land... Chuffed! Won the Green Card for the US, and wondering what it will all be like over there... trying to sort accommodation at the moment. Craig's List is brill. Gotta secure an agent/ manager for film work (Writer.Director) so if anyone knows the drill over there would love the inside info - and also a Prod Co for TVCs. These steps are main objective on arrival, apart from catching up with pals and enjoying the life... Just got back from 4 days fighting fires in Wollemi Forest NSW on a STAG (Brigades are called in from all over the State to collectively fight the big ones). Had a great time in the thick of it. Lighting back burns, blacking out and patroling the fireline. Do adore my vol' gig as Deputy Captain. Good to work with all the other crews too... Will I find a crew in LA to play with? Workwise - I'm polishing the 2nd draft on Airhead, a feature comedy, and then will do a polish of Borrowed Light (tragi-comdedy), thanks to Aurora feature development programme. Over the Writing - wanna get back to Directing...
