Had a blast at Paramount Studios last night - so thrilling to be on the lot at night. The Adventures of Priscilla looked as good as ever (Brian!!) and the live performers led by the inimitable Tony Sheldon in their fab cossies were excellent and inspiring. Drank 'Uluru Sunset' cocktails with newly found compatriots, caught up with a few film celebs of note as we all swanned about in our pink feather boas given out to the audience. Traipsed up to the Getty today and wallowed in the beaty of the architecture and huge collection of art. One visit is simply not enough - I was floored by the breadth of it all. Off to Santa Monica tomorrow morning - It's Martin Luter King Memorial Weekend, so that's a long one I understand. Trying to find somewhere to write!!! The Banana Bungalows (a whole other world to any you know) and internet cafes which charge by the minute have hardly been conducive to a writer's needs... That's LA for you tho'. Favourite person for the day is Fred from Aspen via Florida - Masseuse to the Stars - ironing out the wrinkles of a few high note celeb's. Chatted over breakfast about his life - it's a trip out here... I've decided to name my hire car Charley. She's champagne coloured, now has a hot pink feather boa wrapped around her rear view mirror and the soundtrack to Priscilla blasting out of the sound system - yep it just keeps getting better! We are so nearly ready for the road trip she and I. A few meetings first on Tuesday/Wednesday and then we head north...
